Become a Mentor for the beginning teacher. Not only will you be insuring the future of public education, but you will have a free membership to the NABT. Time spent on mentoring new teachers, participating in the virtual community, and collaborating with other veteran teachers can be part of Continuing Education credits and re-certification as well as the basis for research and/or certification.
Mentorship is not limited to instructors. The NABT welcomes the input of administrators in providing feedback, solutions, and resources to beginning teachers as they prepare for and begin their teaching careers.
