At the NABT, teachers will share their class: their experience, their successes, their challenges, their goals, and their education with beginning teachers. New professionals in education will have the opportunity to see how veteran teachers organize their classrooms, structure their transitions between classes, dealing with drills and administrative procedures, and handle the interruptions and unplanned surprises that make the beginning classroom a place of wonder.
Beginning Teachers will find:
• weekly logs by teachers and students on course specific objectives and results
• pictures and video of students engaged in the educational experience: classroom interactions, in-school behavior, and professional relations
• lessons plans for content area specialists, special education professionals, and general education classes
• experiences with parents, school board officials, and administration in dealing with the difficulties that face a novice teacher
Check this section of our website as we provide real classroom feedback and resources for the beginning teacher. This portion of the website is available for veteran mentors and beginning teachers to share their classrooms with the other members so that we can take a class of students from August to June and experience what only teaching offers.
